A hearing aid evaluation uses information collected during the hearing evaluation as well as history and lifestyle information provided by the patient in order to determine the best amplification device for the patient and his/her needs. Patient preferences are strongly incorporated into this process. In order to collect appropriate information, the provider administers questionnaires that assist in determining patient needs/wants. From the information obtained at the conclusion of a hearing aid evaluation, amplification recommendations are determined.
